NOTICE: Please
do not send us an e-mail to alert/inform us about the broken links to the
individual pet products on this and our many other web sites. We are
painfully aware of this and this effects all of our PetsMart product links
on all of our web sites.
Our letter to PetsMart corporate (CEO & COO)
and our notice on all of our web sites about the broken links appears to
have finally prompted more direct results from PetsMart.
After nine
(9) months, we have finally been contacted by phone by PetsMart, who advises
we need to reinstall all of their links, because of some platform change
made by PetsMart. This is similar to what we experienced in early
2007, when we had to wait three (3) months and were then assured, along with
other inducements, to restore all of the PetsMart product links. They
have also changed other components and have denied such considerations were
offered. We are now considering our options, which includes: (1)
replacing all of the PetsMart product links, (2) replacing the product links
with those from another vendor, (3) make a comprehensive agreement with
another vendor, (4) to sell off our entire cluster of fish/pets web sites,
or (5) follow the advice of our attorney.
From the
two (2) conversations we have had, it appears PetsMart is more concerned
about this notice we posted on all of our web sites and bad publicity than
any other issue. This concerns us, as customer service (to us and to
you) does not appear to be either a priority or most important matter to
PetsMart...they kept referring back to this notice.
We are
very reluctant to spend hundreds of hours restoring the PetsMart
links, only to have to do it all over again (just after we complete this
arduous process) and perhaps next time wait for an entire year, before
we get a reply and some answers/action from PetsMart, which in this case is
to do all of the work all over again. If we choose to replace the
individual product links, we have now have options with Petco, Drs. Foster &
Smith, or PetsMart. If you have a preference, please let us know and
why you have selected the particular vendor.
No
matter which of our options we find we are compelled to take, we have
decided to restore hosting to all of our web sites, increase our search
engine rankings and traffic, and if we must sell all of our web sites, with
such an increase in search engine rankings and traffic to try to restore the
value of all of our sites, in an attempt to salvage something from our years
and many, many hours of efforts.
However
our information content, which we have developed and supplied remains
stable, unchanged and available without issues. This is true for all
of our web sites, notably those which relate to tropical fish and aquariums.
