Chromaphyosemion volcanum

Buy Chromaphy Volcanum

Native Habitat:  Africa: Restricted to the Kaké river drainage in the area around Mount Cameroon. Occurs in swampy parts of brooks and small streams in the rainforest, mainly on volcanic soil
Temperament:    Timid and prefers well-planted aquariums. Therefore best kept in trios, rather than pairs.
Feeding:    Some flake foods high in protein and adult brine shrimp, along with live foods such as grindal worms, white worms, Daphnia, Moina, and newly hatch brine shrimp nauplii
Sexing:    Males more colorful and with display fins
Comments:    Very difficult first killifish for hobbyist. Non-annual plant spawners. See Chromaphyosemion.
